The fox shoulder blade is a wide, flat bone that protected the animal's heart and lungs, a shield both literal and figurative. Worn on the chest it is invisible armour, protection that does not show but is always there. The fox is cunning, adaptability and movement between two worlds, knowing the paths others cannot see. The ravens are burned straight onto the bone, the way ancient people marked weapons and amulets, birds of knowledge and change, two ravens recalling Odin's Huginn and Muninn, thought and memory. The protective rune is a bindrune, several shapes woven into one, drawing an invisible boundary. Runes were never written lightly, every line carrying intent. Fire and bone together are one of the oldest ritual unions in human history. The black and bone white beads alternate like night and day, death and life.
