Symbology

The inverted cross, or Cross of Saint Peter, has two distinct histories: in Christian tradition it is a symbol of humility, Peter having asked to be crucified upside down as he felt unworthy of dying in the same manner as Christ. In contemporary alternative and anti-establishment culture it has been adopted as a symbol of rebellion and individualism. Both meanings are legitimate depending on the wearer's intent.
