Symbology

The pentagram is one of the oldest protective symbols in human culture. Its five points represent the five elements: earth, air, fire, water and spirit. In Wiccan and pagan traditions it is a symbol of protection, balance and the integration of all forces. The bat is the creature of the threshold, the border between day and night, the seen and unseen. In many traditions it is a guardian of the night world, navigating by sound what others cannot see.
